Most patients ‘self refer’ i.e. they contact the clinic directly to arrange an appointment for an assessment. Some patients are referred by their G.P. (members of medical insurance schemes may be obliged to contact their G.P. prior to assessment). Some patients are referred by their Consultant for treatment following surgery or to try conservative treatment before considering surgery. You may be referred by a solicitor following personal injury.

Yes we only treat private patients. We do not accept NHS referrals at present.

Appointments are usually available within 48hours.

During treatment you may need to remove some clothing to allow the Physiotherapist to view, assess and treat the problem area. We will ensure that your dignity is maintained at all times. If you are coming with an ankle or knee problem it would be helpful if you could wear shorts or if it is a shoulder problem then ladies may feel more comfortable wearing a vest top.

We do not have a set number of treatments for any condition, every patient is an individual. However, following your first appointment the Physiotherapist will discuss the anticipated number of treatments. You will be reassessed on each visit and if progress plateaus out or if no improvement seems apparent then your treatment will be altered accordingly or you will be referred on to a specialist.

Yes you are welcome to bring a chaperone to accompany you whilst you have your treatment if you so wish.

If you cannot attend your appt please contact us by telephone as soon as possible. A message can be left 24hrs a day. Failure to cancel an appt within 24hrs of appt time will mean that you will be charged for the missed appt.

Home visits may be arranged with Gerald at special request.
